Take a taxi from Mactan International Airport to your hotel in Cebu City, it is about 20 minutes depending of the location of your hotel. We warmly recommend the travellers to rest a single night after your long plane trip. You can of course stay longer to discover Cebu City.
Take a Taxi from your hotel to Northern bus terminal. Take the "CERES" bus with signboard: "Maya Bagay" or ask for the one going to "Maya". First bus leaves the terminal at 4:00 am. They are leaving every hour. Maya is about 4 hours far from Cebu and this is the jump off point for the boat to Malapascua Island. Fare price Cebu-Maya is around 100 Pesos. Be informed that the fare price can change depending of the gasoline price.
Take a regular passenger boat to the island. The pumboat leave Maya at 11:00 am for a 45 minutes direct trip to the island and the fare will cost you around 50 Pesos per person. Be informed that if the number of passengers is less than what the owner is expecting, the pumboat do not leave the dock; excepted if you are hurry and ready to pay the difference for the missing passengers.
