
Malapascua is a beautifull small island yet unspoiled by tourism and pollution and situated 8 km off the northern tip of Cebu Island. The archipelago is famous for its unique dive spots and for its white sand beaches. People here are living of tourism and fishing.


The main attraction is diving and snorkeling. Take a dive in the crystal clear water at the wreck of a World War II Japaneese ship or dive at Monad Shoal which is an advanced dive site for Open Water certified divers. Otherwise you have plenty of possibility if you enjoy long walks or only want soothe away remaining stress from city life with a coconut oil massage on Bounty Beach, the best beach of the island. You can also rent bikes or motorcycle for few hours to ride all around the island.

Malapascua has some excellent Western owned restaurants. They propose both Filipino and European breakfast, lunch and diner. Walk all along Bounty Beach, there you will find most of them. Quench your thirst anytime in one of the few bars alongside the beach.

The weather in Philippines is tropical which is marked for its high temperature, humidity and rainfall. The weather is characterized by extremely high temperature. The fact is that even during the coolest months of the year the temperature doesn't fall below 25 ° Celsius. Another important factor that influences weather is a high level of humidity which is interrelated with the high temperature. The average annual humidity of Philippines remains in-between 71% to 85%. The best season to come to Malapascua island is between December to May which correspond to the "dry season". Other season is "rain season" which occur from July to November. Malapascua suffer less rainfall than Cebu City and the typhoons rarely affect our tiny island.
